Coming together…

We spent several months collecting, assembling, installing, finding, scavenging, painting, building… We’ve put together a cozy, functional space with lots of light, plants, toys and books. We hope our space will facilitate creativity and productivity at both individual and group levels. Come see for yourself!

We will continue to keep older photos on here so you can see the progression of the space—from an empty shell to a home for our growing community. You’ll have to visit to learn more! ***MOST RECENT PHOTOS AT TOP***

The Psychology of Space

Enabling Spaces

We’re committed to creating a space that accommodates a variety of activities. We’ll have private space, quiet space, reflective space, active space, soft lazy spaces, focused spaces, exploring spaces, deep-dive spaces, collaboration spaces, incubation spaces, discussion spaces, reading spaces, lounging spaces, playing spaces…We know that different kinds of work require different structural and environmental support – so we’re doing our best to seamlessly provide these sorts of spaces. We also know that natural light is critical – so we’re working on plans to inexpensively bring more natural light into the private spaces (which are currently pretty dark). So. In short – we deeply understand that space and structure matter.

Patterns

In thinking about space, and what happens in spaces – we thought about the following types of spaces, and the kinds of encounters that happen in these spaces. If we are looking to support cross-pollination, then the spaces we are occupying have to support these types of encounters and these possibilities. We’re hoping that our space can bring to life some of the core qualities of the following contexts: Fireside chat, stroll in the park, airplane ride, campfire, coffee shop, waiting in line for a scone, lounging, family dinner, big dinner, kitchen hovering, shuttle launch – you get the drift…We’re looking to create spaces (with you) that support connections at many different levels, for a variety of purposes and non-purposes alike. We’re looking to create contexts in which we can all connect more authentically and meaningfully (when we want!).
